Our Lake Reconstruction work here really speaks for itself.
Our clients wanted to transform an area that had been unattended for many years into a haven for wildlife and wetland birds. There was a huge amount of silt and rubbish to be cleared away and we made sure that the banks were shallow enough for all species to enjoy easy access.
The lake had to be built to include a variety of depths to suit a really wide range of wildlife, essential for allowing many different types of birds to feed properly.
We also developed wider banks, raised on one side which will allow for nesting once hedges have established and as this lake is fed by a natural spring we’re confident that it will provide a wonderful natural habitat for the coming decades.
In Summary
A really satisfying project, with consideration for wildlife at the forefront of the work we carried out. We’re very confident that what we’ve achieved will stand the test of time, with the natural spring helping to provide a wonderful habitat for many species.
